Pastor Samuel Chalula is directing Marriage Camps this year. This is a learning experience for him and I appreciate his energy and willingness to serve the Lord.

Every day the campers have to do personal devotions and devotions as a couple.

We had about 25 little ones that came along with their parents to camp. Every day we had to cook extra donuts and porridge for these little ones. There were times where we wished there was a nursery service. Other times they entertained themselves like these little guys playing with the camp drum while mom and dad are in class.

With 77 campers this week, we had our hands full. Praise the Lord for all these couples willing to learn how to improve their marriages in order to please the Lord.

One of the activities is to make puppets that they will take home and use to share the Gospel with their children.

One of the games that we played was to see if you know your spouse's feet! They show them off under a curtain and then you see if you picked the right person! Out of them all only 2 people made mistakes -- not bad!
As someone came from behind the curtain they would run to hug the person they chose. When a mistake was made, we laughed because the real spouse wouldn't allow someone else to cut in and hug their mate!
At the end of it all they made promises to each other based on what they had learned. This was a touching ceremony. After the promises were made they kneeled down and the pastors prayed for their marriages.
