Safari – Katavi Nat’l Park 2015
We had a wonderful 2 day experience this week. 240 km away – that’s 144 miles for you Americans – is Katavi National Park. It is a beautiful game park. It took us about 4 1/2 hours to drive up there. Part of the road was paved and the rest was pretty rough.
In the park we were able to see so many unique creatures. I can’t even begin to describe the birdlife--most of which I don’t recognize. Off the top of my head we saw: elephant, zebra, giraffe, hippo, buffalo, crocodile, mongoose, impala, reed buck, kudu, topi, waterbuck, duiker, bushbuck, baboon, vervet monkey, lilac breasted roller, franklins, doves, hornbills, ground hornbills, starlings, kingfisher, egyptian geese, quinea fowl, bish eagles, and many, many more birds…
Let me share some pictures, internet permitting. What a wonderful God we serve!
