Getting back into the Groove

Yes, we are safely back in Mumba.  Aubree and I met up in DC and took the next three flights together, plus a drive from Mbeya to Mumba.  It is good to be back in my own house and settled.  There are still many people to greet, but it has been so good to see everyone here.  We were quickly reminded that were in the bush as internet is very slow and limited.

After a couple days to get things unpacked and put away, we began planning for camp.  So many decisions to make: what craft to do, what health lesson to teach, what Gospel method to share, what games will be play, … It has been a blessing to find that the pastors in the Youth Department have been working hard arranging locations and staff for camp.

P1040377  Aubree has been learning Swahili each morning and everyone is so happy that she is able to greet them.  We have also enjoyed hanging out with the Capraris as they minister here for a couple weeks.  The girls took a hike to a nearby mountain the other day and enjoyed the Lord’s Creation. Can you see them on the rock?

We were able to visit a nearby village on Sunday where John Caprari and Steve Sherman were speaking.   We enjoyed a wonderful lunch in the pastor’s home. Aubree had her first taste of Ugali which she will be eating all through camp.  We were able to experience the wonderful backroads of Tanzania.
