camp 1, 2014

We were blessed to be hosted by the church in the village Mumba.  It is a growing congregation and they helped in more ways that you can imagine.  They had enough wood for cooking and bathing. Enough help to carry water for the cooking and bathing and different activites that we taught.SAM_3071

Each day a different team of cooks and deacons helped out. Their head deacon and deaconess worked each day and never once did I hear a complaint! We even had some of the guys learning how to cut spinach and make donuts! We fed more than 220 people each day!  I am also thankful for a team of 4 deacons that helped as part of my camp team!

We set a new record for camp attendance! 187 was our final total. We are so amazed at how God worked in a through us.  70 campers accepted Christ this week.  5 other people accepted Christ through our evening services!  Hallelujah!

I call this place “Gospel Rock” -- here Pastor Jonas led 55 campers to the Lord in a Gospel Workshop.

Brook! You capture some amazing photos to help us get a better "picture" of what is going on during camp! I love what we get to hear from you and am looking forward to this weekend when I get to hear about week 2! Thanks for serving the Lord!
