Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things. Philippians 4:8
WOW! God is good! We have a GOOD REPORT to share with you, 32 souls were saved this week. We were in the Rukwa Valley in the village of Kaoze. We had 60 campers this week. Many were young (ages 12-14) and first time campers. It was many of those kids who came to know the Lord.
This is a group of kids that accepted Christ earlier on Friday and the pastor is reading all their names in front of everyone in the evening service so that we can rejoice with them!
We had a great view of the mountains behind us, which are part of the Great Rift of Africa.
Camp is always full of fun games. Whether trying to get your team across the “Poison River” or trying to free your team members that are in jail in capture the flag (this girl almost made it!).
Every day women in the village come to fetch water at the tank on the church property. One woman was really observant of the campers as they gathered outside to sing and dance, as they played games on the village soccer field, and as they sang in chapel. One day after chapel she talked with the pastors and asked them about the way to salvation!
PRAISE the LORD!
Our 3rd and Final team of Counselors and Deacons for the Summer! What a pleasure to work with men and women of God.
The Tanzanian Staff gave Courtney a cloth as a Thank You for her ministry. She taught every single camper over the past three weeks. The first two days she shared the Gospel with them laying the foundation for their counselors to work with them on the Gospel.
On the last two days of each week she taught them about the Tabernacle which Moses built.
