Nambogo is a small church family who graciously hosted 123 campers this past week along with all the staff. We are full of gratitude to the Lord for all the ways which he made himself evident. Whether helping the 5 women who worked daily in the kitchen to feed such a huge crew or leading in the lives of the staff and campers. We have much for which to praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord for Grace, a young women who is engaged to a young man in one of our churches in a different region. After their engagement she started attending one of our churches near her home, which means she rides her bike 20 minutes each week. She comes from an unsaved family but has been faithful in attending church and is being mentored by the local pastor and his wife.
Grace is in the middle watching her group play Helium Stick.
On Wednesday she met with the pastor and another camp leader and asked them to teach her how to be saved. They joyfully led her to the Lord. Now we anticipate celebrating with her at her wedding later this summer.
Praise the Lord for Joshua. He is first time camper but his dad has helped us out in the kitchen for years. On the very last day of camp during the evening service, the local pastor stepped outside to help answer a question that someone else had about where Moses is buried. Joshua followed them outside and after the original question was answered, he had his own question to ask. “Pastor will you help me pray for salvation?” We all thought the original question was just some kid testing the teacher’s knowledge. But God used it to open the door for Joshua to talk to a pastor and come to know the Lord.

Joshua is like many campers. They have been raised in the church and know that Christ died for their sins but have never actually accepted Him as his personal Saviour. Joshua and Grace are two of 17 young people that came to know the Lord this week at camp.
