ELECTRIC TEAM
We are blessed to have a team of 5 guys from Washington who are here to help re-wire the Bible College Campus where I live. They are working hard and have been patient with all of the “poorly done” existing wiring. It is a task that seems like it is unending and they will do phase one which is a very important phase.WEDDING
The team arrived in Mumba on Friday and I had to leave on Saturday for a wedding on Sunday in the Rukwa Valley. Which was cool since this little church had never had a wedding before. It was a ways away so I went down a day early and stayed an extra day nearby with co-workers. The groom has been a camper in the past and it was thrill to see fruit from the ministry! In this little village church most cannot read or write, even some of the elders. As you can see that the groom could somewhat write his name (that’s his signature) and the bride and witnesses had to put their thumbprint on the marriage license! On the way we ran into a bridge that washed away. It took a couple minutes to make sure where the other cars have been crossing this river! Then we followed the tracks in, not knowing how deep the water was! It was just about the height of my running board, so not too bad.
SAFARI
Then a couple days later we took our visitors on a trip to the game park. With two different teams combined we took three cars to Katavi National park which is about 4 hours north of us. We were blessed to see many animals this trip. I’ve given you a mere taste of what we saw. Our Creator is so AmazingThen we came home and went straight into a weekend of meetings for the missionaries on the field. We were blessed to have visitors that could help baby sit while parents were in the meeting. It was a great weekend with 35 missionaries and their kids and guests on the station! We had lots of fun, games, fellowship, worship, and meetings.
Most of the Tanzanian Field.
