Easter is something to Celebrate! Without the Resurrection, we would have no hope, salvation, and purpose. There’s no better way to celebrate than with fellow saints!
One of the customs here is to gather with surrounding churches for an Easter Conference. It is one of the highlights of everyone’s year. There are 13 churches in this centre each from a different village and all of them were represented at this conference. We had about 400 people attending from our churches not including locals from the host village. Figure 1-2 choirs per church, that makes for some long service because everyone wants to sing and celebrate together.
Our host church of Malolwa, actually cut down some of their church corn field in order to make room for the conference. It was such a blessing for them to host everyone. The celebration began Thursday evening and then there were 3 services each of the following through Sunday evening. One evening rain cancelled the service, another afternoon service it started drizzling as the pastor was sharing the Gospel. He never missed a beat, but kept right on preaching. Many raised their hands to accept Christ as their personal Saviour in various service and we pray that they made legit commitments and that they would grow in their faith.
