There they helped to clean and dust a library at TGBI, our pastoral training college. They helped with a small afternoon kids club and played games and sang and did skits. They visited a local orphanage and do some shopping in the market in Sumbawanga too. It took a bit for them to get used to our “great” roads! They were the first guests in my newly revived guest house!
A highlight was that they were able to visit a village and spend the night. We worked with a choir and showed a Gospel film and local evangelists preached for 3 services. It was eye opening to see life in the village and how we can easily share the Gospel in the middle of the village. They had their first taste of Ugali too. The weather was great until the last 15 minutes of the last sermon. Then is started pouring! everyone and ran in to the big village building and carried the sound equipment. It was a little chaotic but fun. We were able to start packing up and head home leaving the villagers waiting for the rains to let up. Praise God for how he worked in the local host church to encourage them and in the lives of villagers. These ladies from South America had a great time.
