We eat a lot of tomatoes here, mostly in sauces. One of the most basic meals here in my house is Rice, Beans, and Greens (RBG). The beans and the greens are usually cooked in a local style which uses tomatoes and onions. There is also the old standby of Spaghetti.
We have a system to can tomato sauce so that it is available for any recipe needed. This week Mama Stewadi took to canning about 5 buckets worth of tomatoes. The price is great right now, about $4.00 USD for a bucket of tomatoes. Just for fun we took pictures of the process.
Pictures speak a thousand words! We are here to teach a class, if you want to know about it more, you can look it up online. But enjoy. We bring the jars and lids from the States for this reason.
That’s all folks!

Looks familiar to me (from childhood). Save yourself a step and leave the chunks in! It's good that way.
