Once again we are beginning our camp season. We just finished training all the staff. 31 leaders from at least 17 of our churches ready to break into three teams and work at camp.
I praise God for their heart to learn and serve. Many times our classes went overtime in class because they were full of questions. It is always fun for a teacher to have students that want to learn. It was also fun to see some former campers now growing up and becoming counselors!
We had a lot of fun playing games together and worshiping. It reminded me of the verse: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.” Psalms 133:1
They even worked together to write a new song that goes along with our study about the life of Moses.
Leaders for week two practicing the new choir song.
Learning to make the Tabernacle. Making a solar light bulb.
Friday afternoon we were learning about how the LORD came down Israel on Mt. Sinai in fire, smoke, with lightening, thunder and how the earth trembled. Just then we felt an earthquake. Everyone’s eyes grew big as we realized we were experiencing just a small taste of what people would have felt that day. Our God is great and amazing isn’t He?
Now we are off to three weeks of camp in three different villages…
