All Africa Grace Fellowship
October 10-16, Mbeya, Tanzania
This past week, was a first for the history of the Grace Churches of Africa. They had their first ever International Conference. It was an honor for the church in Tanzania to host such an event.
It was a very big event to host. There were so many details to work out. The hosts did a great job.
I’m sure you can imagine some of the difficulties involved in an International Event. Things like dealing with various languages at the same time. Food and lodging for almost 400 people. Transport between the main location to the various churches where people were sleeping, getting them to the other location for outdoor evangelism each day.

My job was to teach some Youth Workshops as well as deal with the worship side of the event. It was a challenge to deal with multiple languages, several choirs, various bands, and tight time schedules for four different services each day.

It doesn’t matter which African country one comes from, part of praising the Lord includes dancing. And that has no language barrier!
Missionary Kennedy Simtowe is preaching and Ted Rabenold is translating for him. (all the services had to be conducted in English and Swahili)
Pastor Steve Thobela is the chairman of the AAGF. Don Ten Hoeve was a guest speaker from the US.
We had representatives from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Congo, Tanzania, Burundi, Uganda, Kenya, and Cameroon. Also Missionaries from the U.S.A. and the Philippines.
There was a parade of flags on the first day of the International Conference.

What a blessing to meet and fellowship with people from so many countries.
