Praise the Lord for a wonderful week at our worship seminar. We had some of the best musicians in our churches and many people just learning to play instruments for their churches.
The leadership team, including our translators, lead several example services in the beginning of the week. Then we handed the reigns over to the students.
Working with the translators to divide the group into worship teams.
Throughout each day we taught music theory classes, guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, music writing, running sound, etc… Some days everyone’s brains were fried after so much information. But at the end of the week things really starting coming together.
The highlight was in theory classes when we had an unknown song written on the board and after clapping out the beat, we hummed the melody. About halfway through, the students realized what hymn they were singing and started laughing and clapping because all the things we had been teaching them about notes had meaning!
We praise the Lord for the great team of leaders and translators. Several of the MKs came and helped out too.
