Well after living in Tanzania for 9 1/2 years, it is my joy to host my parents. They have come to help teach a pastor’s conference along with Pastor Mark and to see my life here.
We had the privilege to fly on an MAF plane here. That saved 2 days of travel. It was really fun to see the Bible college and many villages in which I’ve ministered from the air.
This is a great view of the Bible college campus where I live and the village of Mumba north of us. My house is the second from the left on the bottom.
Of course I have kept them busy!
Dad and Mark are helping with little maintenance projects around my house (some seem to be bigger than they should be because nothing is built square here).
Mom is altering wedding dresses so they can be used with the Youth!
When you have great pastors around, you must let them preach. So each Sunday we split up and let them be guests in local churches. Working with the translator was good practice for the conference too.
Mumba’s church is built on this rock!
I couldn’t let them leave without seeing the mission station where my co-workers live in the Rukwa Valley. Mom determined that the road down the mountain is a place where God never intended people to drive!
(This picture shows a part of the road that is not even really bad.)
