This year we saw a few unique things and most of them on the first day of our 24 hours. Unfortunately some were too hard to get good pictures but they will be in our minds! One highlight was watching a male lion, in a very small tree. He hid well between branches and other bushes. He then scared off hyenas who wanted a taste of his kill. Then he tried to drag the little buffalo calf up the tree with him, but the branches were breaking under his weight! We watched for sometime and finally had to head back before sunset.

Safari in Katavi National Park - 2016
It is always fun to visit a game park here in Tanzania. I love to see my visitors in awe at these animals in their natural habitat. We are always looking intently into the bushes to see if there is something new lurking!
