It’s hard to believe that another year is over. We are resting up and Praising the Lord for all that he has been doing through us these past 3 1/2 weeks. This week we were in the village of Kapenta, where my co-workers live. This meant sleeping in a missionary home and using a real toilet and take a “normal” bath.
They predicted 45 campers but we were packed out in that church with 67 campers. The staff did a wonderful job as many had larger groups to teach. How wonderful to see many long time campers return and many new campers in awe of the entire event!
We are praising the Lord for 11 campers who came to know the Lord this week as well. It was a different environment as we were near a fruit garden with lots of shade and running water. But the temperatures were much warmer in that lower elevation. The kids were full of energy which we were thankful for as we were nearing the end of our energy.
I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves:
staff for week 3
Nathan, Ryan, Shaina, Emily and I after our third week of camp
Mt. Mkukwe is a wonderful backdrop for camp!
Heading to the soccer field for games.
