During the first week of camp my co-director, Pastor Uziel, and I went
for a 10 minute walk just to make sure that we'd set foot in Zambia
during our lives! You see the village of Safu is on the border of
Zambia and Tanzania. In fact is was hard for us to teach some of the
campers because they only knew local Zambian/tribal languages and
couldn't understand Swahili. This bridge over a small stream is all
that kept us from setting foot in Zambia. There is no border patrol here
and locals travel back and forth freely. But we all took the chance to
set foot in another country!

This reminds me of that old rickety bridge in Krasnodar that Vadim took us to when we were there. I think it was in a park - not anything cool like the border with Zambia!
